The Origins of Midnight Sun Ice Cream Co.

It all started with Levi Stewart and his family's quest to find the perfect hand-cranked ice cream machine up in Alaska. Stewart's family takes ice cream seriously, so it wasn't uncommon for them to take the 100-mile journey into Anchorage every so often to find a hand-cranked machine. Fortunately, after stopping by stores both large and small, they finally found what they were looking for on a dusty shelf in the back of a hardware store at the edge of town.

Today, Stewart is a classically trained chef living with his native Floridian wife, Jocelyn, in the Sunshine State. However, no matter how much has changed in his life, one thing remains the same: his obsession and overall love for ice cream-and this is where Midnight Sun Ice Cream Sandwich Co. comes in.

Committed to sharing his love for the frozen treat with the world, he and his wife launched the Midnight Sun Ice Cream Sandwich Co. in Orlando. Traveling all over the area in a lemon-yellow 1973 Chevy truck, they serve up scoops of the best small-batch, handmade artisan ice creams and baked goods for the perfect anytime treat.

However, instead of that prized hand-cranked machine his family searched high and low for during his childhood, Midnight Sun Ice Cream proudly uses a gelato-style Italian ice cream machine.
