A Mobile Beer Garden: Parks on Tap
There’s nothing better than enjoying a cold beer in the fresh air and sunlight, surrounded by a few good friends. Parks on Tap brings you all of that, plus the scenic views of Philadelphia, PA, parks.
Let’s see how much fun is on tap!
Giving Back to Neighborhood Parks: Parks on Tap
Parks on Tap began in 2016 to bring the community together around two things everyone can support: beer and the great outdoors. A portion of all proceeds made goes back into the beautiful parks that make up our great city. The groups they give back to include:
- Park Friends Group
- Philadelphia Parks & Recreation
- Fairmount Park Conservancy
Improvements like trail maintenance, tree plantings, new signage, and free community events were all made possible by the funds generated by Parks on Tap. It helps to ensure the future of Mother Nature here in the city. They’ve set up at places like the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center and the Water Works by Boathouse Row, so there’s always a great view.
Parks on Tap is family- and Fido-friendly, so bring your loved ones out for a day in the sun. You can toss a blanket down in the grass or take a seat at one of their many picnic tables.
The Menu at Parks on Tap
Love Your Park Pale Ale is a crowd favorite at this mobile beer garden. It’s fruity and refreshing and has the bite of Centennial and Cascade hops. It’s brewed by the Mainstay Independent Brewing Company and follows the same philosophy as Parks on Tap. $1 of every case sold goes toward further supporting Philadelphia parks.
Parks on Tap has a rotating list of local craft beers on tap, as well, so there’s bound to be something new to try each time you visit. They also sell wine, cocktails, and even non-alcoholic beverages, so everyone will have something to sip on.
If you’re feeling a little hungry, they also have a selection of snacks to go with your beer. You can share a warm pretzel from the Lost Bread Co. or dig into some deviled eggs. They also have a pulled pork sandwich and a brisket cheesesteak if you’re really hungry.
Mother Nature Is on Tap!
Are you hearing the call of the great outdoors? You might as well answer it with a beer in one hand and a warm pretzel in the other when you visit Parks on Tap.
