Honda Civic Early Generations
In 1973, when the Civic was first released, it was clear the sedan was destined to last. Considered an underdog in its first generation, the Civic made waves with a powerful engine and an efficient performance for drivers across the nation! In 1975, Honda introduced a wagon option for the vehicle, adding more versatility and cargo space for wherever the road takes you.
In the 1970s, the Civic made a name for itself by coming with standard features that many other vehicles of the day only offered as options. These included:
- Full interior carpeting
- Tinted glass
- Reclining front seats
- Simulated wood trim
- AM radio
Overall, its first six generations paved the way for the new and used Civic models we all know and love today. With powerful engines, more fuel-efficient technologies, and advanced features, the sedan continued to adapt to the ever-changing needs of drivers across the nation.
However, one thing always remained for this iconic Honda. It was always a dependable ride regardless of which early generation you choose to drive home in.
Modern Honda Civic Generations
When you walk into a used car dealership, you'll probably see a pre-owned Civic from a more modern generation. The seventh-generation Civic kicked off a new age for the iconic sedan. Since then, it's been one of the most popular picks for all drivers, from students to families.
Here's a quick summary of the more modern Honda Civic generations.
